Robert Paul (Bob) Taylor, 74, of Perryton, Tx passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 in Amarillo, Tx. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the Perryton Church of Christ with Rev. Mikel Petersen officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Boxwell Brothers Funerals Home of Perryton. The funeral home will be open for viewing/visitation on Tuesday (1/19/21) from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday (1/20/21) 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Services will be broadcast live on Boxwell Brothers Facebook page for those who wish to watch. There is a link on the website (boxwellbros.com) to access the Facebook page.


Bob was born May 28, 1946 in Shattuck, Ok to Paul Edwin and Victoria (Vickie) (Wyszomierski) Taylor. He grew up in Boise City, Ok. He graduated from high school in 1964. While in school, he participated in football and FFA. He was also president of his senior class. After graduation, he attended Panhandle State University and graduated in 1968 with a degree in business.


Bob moved to Perryton, Tx where he met Gail Young. They were married and continued living in Perryton. Gail passed away on June 8, 2001.


Bob worked numerous jobs and retired from Perryton Public Schools. He enjoyed his membership in the Kiwanis Club. He especially enjoyed the Annual Auction. After retirement, Bob worked at United, Museum of the Plains, and volunteered at the hospital gift shop.
Bob preached for many years at the Church of Christ at Booker, Texas. He loved his time spent with friends. Most of these visits included at least one cup of coffee.


Bob enjoyed his wonderful stay at The Seasons in Perryton, before moving to the hospital in Perryton and then Amarillo. He struggled with many knee problems and infections before getting the virus. His body was weak and he was ready to see his Lord.


Bob is survived by his two sisters, Cynthia Ramsey and her husband, Bill, of Cushing, Ok, Jennifer Taylor of Glencoe, Ok; close friends, Loren and Maylene Harder of Amarillo, Tx.


Memorials can be made in his name to the Perryton Church of Christ, PO Box 928, Perryton, Tx 79070, Museum of the Plains, 1200 N Main, Perryton, Tx 79070 or to the charity of your choice.
