Mr. Scott was retired from the FBI, taught science at Camden High School and taught at the Law Enforcement Academy in Camden. He was a former director of the Arkansas State Police and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Conway. He authored church histories for the First United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church in Conway and was a longtime contributor of letters to the editor to the Log Cabin Democrat.
