September 1, 1904 - July 15, 1948

Mrs. Frank Hurst, aged 47, died at her home, Route 1, Camden, at 5:21 p.m. Thursday. She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. M. A. Hutchins, of Shreveport, La., one brother, W. O. Gipson of Booneville, and one niece. Mrs. Hurst's niece is Mrs. B. F. Hayes of Shreveport, La. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Proctor's Chapel. Burial in Two Bayou Cemetery with the Rev. Neill Hart officiating. Proctor's in charge. Mrs. Hurst has many friends here and over the state. She was active in VFW Auxiliary work and other veteran organizations and has held state office in these organizations. Her death is a distinct shock to her many friends. Active pallbearers will be: J.D. Haltom, W. H. McLeod, Annis Anderson, Marion Craig and Harvey Wilson. (Camden News - July 16, 1948)
