Alvis Wilkins, 84 of Camden, AR was born August 11, 1927 and passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 surrounded by her family. Alvis was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church for many years. She enjoyed quilting and craft projects.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Cleo Wilkins; a daughter, Gail Wilkins; a son, Louie Wilkins; brothers, Louie Douglas Rice, Dean Rice and Charlie Rice; a sister, Mary Ross; and her parents.
She is survived by her sisters, Ruby Lower and Lona Bess Cherry; four sons, Don Wilkins and wife, Edith of Houston, TX, Rick Wilkins and wife, Diana of Arkoma, OK, Buddy Wilkins and wife, Robbie of Camden, AR and Danny Wilkins of Camden, AR; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 Friday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
