Mary Bass, 80, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. She was born on June 19, 1942 in Camden, AR to Orlen and Omer Holmes Renfro. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Alvin Bass; grandparents, Oscar and Amy Renfro and Gordon and Katherine Holmes; two brothers, Guy Renfro and Kenny Renfro; Three brothers-in-law, John Rogers, David Coke, and Ed Pickett; sister-in-law, Bonnie Coke.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Moseley; a granddaughter, Brooke Howard-Parker, and one great-granddaughter, Sarah Parker; two sisters, Carolyn Daggett (Jim) and Patricia Rogers; three sisters-in-law, Billie Renfro, Ruth Renfro, and Linda Pickett; brother-in-law, Willie Pickett; and a host of other family and friends.

Mary had several jobs over the years, bookkeeping, retail and restaurant management (Pak-A- Bag and Waff-l-inn) and Quickies, but her favorite was driving the van for Ouachita Child Enrichment Center. She loved every one of those kids. She called them, “My Kids”. Her and Alvin were married 55 Years and she was so proud of their golden anniversary party. We laughed because Alvin carried a book to read while he was there. Her and Alvin’s kids were their life, Beverly, Brooke and Sarah. They called them, “My Girls”.

A funeral service will be held at Proctor Funeral Home on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 2:00PM. A visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM before the service. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
