Ellen Doris Marshall, 65, of Gravette, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 1989, at her home.

She was born Jan. 22, 1914, in Lexington, Neb., to Fred and Louisanna Wilson Orthman.

She had been employed for more than 20 years at the Gravette Medical Center. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gravette and attended the Beacon Baptist Church. She moved to Gravette in 1959 from California.

She was preceded in death her husband, Charles Marshall.

Survivors include three sons, Vernon Marshall of Little Rock, Euegen Marshall of Gravette and John Marshall of Decatur; a daughter, Joy Wood of Bentonville; four step-sons, George Marshall of Bethesda, Md., Harold Marshall of Ponca City, Okla. Roland Marshall of Santa Maria, Calif., and Lawrence Martin of Auburn, Wash.; two step-daughters, Ver Millares of Hollister, Calif., and Ione Wood of Topeka, Kan.; and a brother, Arthur Orthman of Albuquerque, N.M.

Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Beacon Baptist Church in Gravette by Dan Fagala.

Burial is in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette.

Memorials may be made to the "Friends of the Hospital" at the Gravette Medical Center.

Local arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home of Gravette.
