Roxie “Sue” McWilliams, 83, of Lake Village, AR, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, Arkansas. She was born on December 1, 1930 in Fort Smith, AR to the late James W.
and Rosie Alice Walter Ford. Roxie formally worked at the Garment Factory. She was a former owner of Lake Village Dry Cleaners. Roxie’s passion was caring for her family. She was a caregiver and took care of many of her family members. She loved flowers and loved to garden. Roxie was a member of Lake Village Presbyterian Church and was a devout Christian.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, D.C.
McWilliams; her daughter, Sheila Hudson; brothers, Delmar Ford, Frank Ford, Donald Ford, Robert Ford, James “Buster” Ford and sister, Iona Ford Erwin.
Survivors include her daughter, Juanita MacDonald and husband, Augustus of Gloucester, MA; brothers, Jerry Ford of Albuquerque, NM and Steve Ford of Seattle, WA; sister-in-laws, Shirley Parsons and husband, Phillip of Candor, NC, Katherine Mantooth of Little Rock, AR, and Gusta Tice; grandchildren, Jody Hudson, Michelle Manning, Scott MacDonald, and Tamara MacDonald; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held 5-7 pm on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in Lake Village, AR. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Lake Village Cemetery in Lake Village, AR with Pastor Kay Childs-Travis officiating. Memorial Service will be held immediately following the graveside service at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Village, AR. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 608, Lake Village, AR 71653 or your favorite charity. Arrangements by Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of Lake Village, AR.
