Bobby J. Bradford, 91, died Monday, December 26, 2022 in Warren, Arkansas, after a brief illness.

He was born May 11, 1931 in Bradley County to Monette and Lucille Bradford. After high school, Bradford studied Radio Electronics at Tyler Commercial College in Tyler, Texas. He then spent two years in the US Army, including 17 months in Korea. He was the company carpenter, constructing pre-fab buildings and overseeing a crew of six Korean laborers.

After his discharge from the Army, Bradford spent 11 years as a partner in Warren TV Service. He then sold his interest and established Bradford TV Service at 513 S. Main Street

Throughout his life, Bradford pursued his hobby of building and flying radio-control model airplanes. He won numerous flying contests in Memphis, Shreveport, Cleveland, Clarksdale, Miss., Alexandria, La. and other competitions across the South.

With his late wife Cherie, Bradford took extensive motorcycle trips through the Colorado Rockies and other scenic Western routes, as well as journeys along the East coast. He also had a keen interest in maintaining a vegetable garden and cultivated many types of flowers and a fish pond.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Cherie Erwin Bradford of Warren and a sister, Sue Bussey of Shreveport, La. He is survived by four children: Tara Bradford Holmes of Dorset, England; David Bradford of Banks, Ark.; Michael Bradford (Kathy) of Warren and Renee Bradford Lipton (Michael) of Hot Springs; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and one niece and three nephews.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 2 pm Monday, Jan. 2 at Crossroads Cemetery in Warren under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home.
