Nancy (Polly) Borengasser Ruttle, 95, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on August 17, 2015. She was born on August 30, 1919 in Springdale, Arkansas to Foster and Carl (Donaldson) Williams.

She moved to Fort Smith with her job at the telephone company and met and married John Borengasser. They were married for 53 years, until his death in 1993. She worked for many years as a sales clerk at Hunt’s Department Store, Helen’s and The Toggery. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church for 74 years.

She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, John Borengasser, Sr. and Raymond Ruttle, a daughter, Joan Marie, her parents, two sisters, a brother and a daughter in law Sharon Borengasser. Polly was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a great cook and loved having her large family together for her special meals.

The rosary will be at 7:00PM, Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the rosary.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM, Friday, August 21, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

She is survived by her seven children; four sons, John Borengasser, Gene Borengasser and his wife Pat and Jim Borengasser and his wife Ann all of Fort Smith and Greg Borengasser and his wife Rosemarie of Johnston, RI; three daughters, Nancy Boerner and her husband Harold and Ginny Bauer and her husband Bob all of Fort Smith and Judy Riester and her husband Ed of Gravette, AR; 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
