Elsie Mae Hoofman, 100, of Searcy, formerly of Judsonia, died Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the White County Medical Center. She was born June 22, 1913 in Judsonia a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Sarah Jane Bailey West. Mrs. Hoofman was the widow of Myrt Hoofman, a homemaker and a long time member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Robert L. Hoofman (Shirley) and Allen Hoofman (Tommie) all of Judsonia; a daughter, Margie Jameson of Searcy; sister, Marie Hoofman of Judsonia; 5 grandchildren, Steve Jameson, Greg Jameson, Terry Hoofman, Tommy Hoofman and Vicki Price; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lee and Alfred West.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Interment will follow in the Gum Springs Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.powellfuneralhome.net.
