Pauline Harper, daughter of the late Pearl Burnell and the late Jessie Curry-Burnell, was born December 26, 1947 in McNeil, Arkansas. She departed this life on Monday, August 4, 2014 in El Dorado, Arkansas at Life Touch Hospice.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, Pearl and Jessie Curry-Burnell, one son, Marcus Leaks, four brothers, Charles Burnell, Danny Burnell, Jesse Lee Burnell, Pete Burnell, three sisters, Patricia Burnell, Dorothy Burnell, and Bessie Ann Arnold. Four aunts, Erma Jean Young, Jewel Haley, Alice Mae Young, Verda Lee Burnell and two uncles, Thurman Curry and Lee Arthur Heard, also preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Deborah (Shawn) Washington of Dallas, Texas, two sons, Ronnie Burnell and Kevin Dismuke of Waldo, Arkansas, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters, Peggy (Otis) Christopher of Waldo, Pearlene Flowers and Verda Burnell of McNeil, four brothers, Oscar (Margie) Burnell of McNeil, Darryl Burnell, Paul Burnell, Hughey P. Burnell, all of Waldo, two aunts, Lennie Bell Mixon, Daisy Curry, and a host of nieces, nephews, and two very special friends, Billy James McBride and Wanda Mitchell.

Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. at Henderson's Mortuary, 614 Calhoun Rd, Magnolia, on Friday, August 8, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the A. C. Henderson Memorial Chapel, 614 Calhoun Rd, Magnolia, 71753, with Rev. J. C. Scott, pastor of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, McNeil, officiating. Burial will follow in Old St. Matthew Cemetery, McNeil, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.
