Maxine Jeremiah, age 85, of Pangburn, Arkansas, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Lonoke Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Kansas on June 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William Albert and Mary (McKinney) Bates.

Mrs. Jeremiah was a retired nursing home employee, having worked in housekeeping. She attended the Pangburn Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Leroy Jeremiah.

Mrs. Jeremiah is survived by one son, James L. Jeremiah and his wife, Peggy, of Frisco, Texas; one daughter, Carlotta Taykowski and her husband, Terry, of Lonoke; one brother, Noah Bates of Wilton; three grandchildren, Derek Jeremiah, Bonne Armstrong, and Hannah Richardson; two great-grandchildren, Clayton Owens and Layla Owens; and six stepgreat-grandchildren, Chase Armstrong, McKenzie Taykowski, Justin Taykowski, Tara Taykowski, Jack Mason, and Chloe Mason. Mrs. Jeremiah is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 1:00 p.m. in the Olmstead Chapel.

Interment will follow in the Henderson Cemetery.

Roger Hazelwood, Derek Jeremiah, Benji Rogers, Terry Taykowski, and Jimmy Jeremiah will serve as pallbearers.
