Truman Otis Boatright, 90, of Alma died Friday, April 22, 2005, in his home. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alma. He was a retired junior high school principal and vocational agriculture teacher for 25 years, a cattle and hay farmer on Georgia Ridge for 50 years, a lifetime member of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association ad had been a member of local, state and national teachers associations. For 32 years he served as secretary of the Arkansas Oklahoma Farmers Cooperative, the Crawford County Farm Bureau and secretary of the board for Crawford County Soil Conservation. He became a member of the first reorganized Quorum Court in 1977 and served a term as president of the Van Buren Rotary Club. Funeral was held on Monday at First Baptist Church in Alma with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, and two nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Alma First Baptist Church, P.O.
