Arkansas

September 2, 1956 - August 31, 2021

Rebecca Lynne “Becky” Baker, of Malvern, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. She was born September 2, 1956, in Little Rock, the daughter of Lindal “Lefty” and Bonnie Voss Baker. She is preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Voss Baker and sister, Holly Dianne Baker. Rebecca lived and loved her life in Franklin, Tennessee for many years before moving back home to Malvern in 2016. She was especially devoted to her nephew, Garrett, who was the greatest joy of her life, and all animals of any kind, but particularly her pets. She worked in telecom for many years and in later years as the office manager at a psychiatric practice in Nashville where the patients all loved her warmth and kindness. She loved reading, traveling to New York, Montana and New Orleans, movies, music and caring for the needs of animals.

A special thank you to her doctors at MD Anderson in Houston; Dr. Matthew Wilson in Memphis; Dr. Nidhi Jain in Little Rock and all of her healthcare providers who gave her such good care through the years.

Survivors, father, Lindal “Lefty” Baker and her nephew, Garrett Jackson.

Graveside services will be Friday, September 3, 10:00am at Rockport Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Reverend Andrew Orr officiating.

In lieu of flowers, nothing would make Rebecca happier than a donation to an animal rescue or shelter.

Arrangements are by Regency Funeral Home.
