Barbara Kay Reed

Barbara Kay Reed, 78, of Monkey Run passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, in Gassville. She was born May 2, 1944, in Gassville to Arlie and Verlene “Holstine” Reed. Barbara enjoyed gardening, fishing and loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lonnie Marler; a brother, Jay Reed and a nephew, Rick Bruss.

Barbara is survived by two sons, Ronald (Alice) Marler of Lakeview and Donald (Debbie) Marler of Monkey Run; three daughters, Lynnette (Kenny) Haley of Cotter, Sherry (Carl) Cowart of Three Brothers and Denise (Dean) Marler of Mountain Home; a brother, Bob Reed of Monkey Run; a sister, Wanda (Bill) Kiefer of Midway; 12 grandchildren, Brian, Kristie, Stacy, Steven, Garrett, Landon, Justin, Amber, Kaylynne, Amanda, Shane and Andy; 23 great grandchildren and many more family and friends.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery with Pastor Gene Carson officiating. Service is under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.

[Please Note: The obituary has her name listed as Barbara Kay Reed even though she is shown as being preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Marler and the gravestone has her name inscribed as Barbara K. Marler.]
