Billy Charles Marion, Sr, 89, of Van Buren, AR passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 peacefully with his family at his side in his home at Hope’s Creek.
Billy was born February 5, 1929 in Van Buren, AR to Wilfred Roy and Mamie (Jones) Marion.
He married the love of his life Mildred on December 20, 1950.
He was a retired fireman from Fort Chaffee, a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran, worked for the Van Buren Fire Department and was a longtime member of the Parkview Alliance Church in Van Buren. Billy was a volunteer and heavily involved with the Van Buren Boys Club. He enjoyed watching the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Van Buren Pointers and old westerns.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred, his parents, one brother, Jimmie Don Marion and one grandson, Keith Jones.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday December 26, 2018 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by two sons, Roy Don Marion and his wife Kathy of Greenwood and Billy Charles Marion, Jr. and his wife Diane of Van Buren; one sister, Patricia Nord of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great- grandchildren, Bradley and Joshua Marion, Craig and Blake Gibson, Mike Kinsey, Trevor Brashear and Jimmy Bradshaw.

Mildred Louise Marion, 79, of Van Buren died Sunday, August 1, 2010 in a local hospital.
She was retired from Jeryo Rexall Drug Store starting in 1945. She was a member of Parkview Alliance Church in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Charles Marion of the home; two sons, Roy Don Marion and wife, Kathy of Arkoma and Billy Charles Marion Jr. and wife Diane of Van Buren; one sister, Virginia Simmons of Van Buren; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Ocker Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Danchenko and
Arnold Woodring officiating.
Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Craig Gibson, Jimmy Bradshaw, Michael Kinsey, Brant Moore, Jessie Gibson and Josh Marion.
