Violet Kosarek, 87, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away April 2, 2018. She was born July 9, 1930, in Berwyn, Illinois, to Joseph and Anna Kmoch. Violet was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She served as Vice President of the Women’s Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and past Queen of the Moravian Society. Violet was also a member of the Wiser Bunch and German Americans of Little Rock. She worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and served as the Czech interpreter for the State of Arkansas.
Violet raised her family with her loving husband, Louis, in North Riverside, Illinois. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, who devoted a lot of her time to help and cook for charities. Violet will be remembered for her loving and generous heart.
Violet is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 65 years, Louis Kosarek; daughter, Rosemarie Black; grandson, Duncan Black; granddaughter, Betsy Black; brother, Joseph Kmoch; and sisters, Helen Bink, Anne Hron, and Bea Koranek.
Survivors include son, Louis Kosarek (Nancy) of Missouri City, Texas; daughters, Shirley McIndoo (Joel) of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, Caroline Kosarek of Hot Springs; and grandchildren, Joy Black, Kristen, Ryan, and Nicole Kosarek, and Rachael and Matthew McIndoo.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m.
A celebration of Violet’s life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church with
Father Y.C. officiating.
Pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.
