Margene Bules, 83, of Van Buren passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, in a local hospital.

She was a homemaker and former employee of Jeffrey Sand and Gravel Co. in Fort Smith.

She was a lifelong resident of Van Buren and the widow of Gus Bules; she was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Hazel Neal, Iona Faye Smith and Anna Belle Johnson.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Survivors are a daughter, Carolyn Scott of Van Buren; a son, Billy Charles Bules Jr. of Van Buren; a sister, Ada Mae Futrell of Houston; three grandchildren, Tiffany Berry, Natalie Wilkinson and Justin Bules; and four great-grandchildren, Hayden Parker, Paisley Wilkinson, Kaylyn Parker and Matthew Wilkinson.

Pallbearers are Clarke Moore, Adam Daily, Kyle Wilkinson, Gimo Berry, Justin Bules and Wesley Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers are the Unity Sunday School Class and Doyle Autry, Roger Goins, David Moore, Tom Holmes, Reed Brewer, Matt McGrew and Cody Hamlin.
