Esther Cook Shibley was born August 9, 1843 to Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Bishop Cook.
She departed this life on August 18, 1912.
She married her childhood sweetheart, William Henry Harrison Shibley on August 16, 1866 in Shibley's Point, Missouri.
The marriage service was performed by her father, Rev. Thomas Bishop Cook.
She was the mother of six children,David Carlton Shibley, Mary Shibley, William A Shibley, Leah A Shibley, Cyrene Shibley and Harry Bishop Shibley.
Two of the children were deaf (Harry and Mary). Both children went to the school for the deaf in Little Rock, AR and were prominent teachers there until their retirement and/or death.
