MOUNTAINBURG — The Rev. Loren West, 75, of Mountainburg died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000, in his home. He was pastor of Philadelphia Church of Zion and a non-denominational pastor for 52 years. Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Vaught cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Edwards Van- Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Nora Bryant of Fayetteville, Janet Young of Winslow and Donna Coupe of Dallas; one son, Gary of Athens, Texas; four sisters, Cleo Hooper of Springfield, Mo., Elnora Evel of Arnold, Kan., Wynona Blevins of Hutchinson, Kan., and Bonnie Catterson of Phoenix; one brother, Loyd of Fairgrove, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dorothy West, 85, of Mountainburg, Ark., died Sunday, September 9, 2012 in her home.
She was born September 1, 1927 Grand Junction, Colo.

She was a minister's wife, taught school, taught music, played piano, and was a member of Philadelphia Church of Zion in Mountainburg, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Loren West; three brothers, Vern, Lee and Willis Kelley and a great grandson, Jesse Pickett.

She is survived by three daughters, Nora Bryant of Fayetteville, Ark., Janet Young and her husband Doyle of Cave Springs, Ark. and Donna Rhoades and her husband Dusty of Fayetteville, Ark.; a son, Gary West of Athens, Texas; an adopted daughter and friend, Mary Adams of Fayetteville, Ark.; a sister, Orvilla Ward of Fruita, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as Pastor and lifetime friend, Martha Williams.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Vaught Cemetery in Mountainburg, Ark. under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren, Ark.
