Charles Ray Potter, 63 of Van Buren, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in his home.
He was a employee of Tyson Poultry for 20 years and a retired U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Meadors Potter, both parents and one sister.
He is survived by one son, Derrick Potter of the home; one brother, Virgil Lee Potter of Oak Island, NC; one sister, Mary Ruth Caldwell of Poteau, OK.
Graveside services were held at Vaught Cemetery with Darrell Farquhar and Jackie Edwards officiating.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Farquhar, Earl Lee Caldwell, Charlie Joe Sweazy, Jackie Niblett, Jimmy Potter and Keith Lewis.

September 28, 1953 - November 20, 2003
Marilyn Kay Potter was born in Mulberry Arkansas to the late Erivl Meadors and Margaret Meadors of Moutainburg. She graduated from Moutainburg High School in 1971. She has one sister Etta (Sue) Center of Moutainburg and one brother Dennis Ervil Meadors of Van Buren. She is survived by her Husband Charles and one son Derrick and one cat RINGO all of Van Buren. She was a brain cancer survivor and passed away at St. Edwards Mercy Hospital.
