July 25, 1917 - September 15, 1948
Mrs. W. A. Baker, aged 31, died at her home at 306 Greening street at 1 p.m. Wednesday. She was a native of Hampton and had lived in Camden for the past six years. She is survived by her husband, a son, Carlos Gene, of Camden; her mother, Mrs. R. B. Stringfellow of Camden; and a sister, Mrs. M. E. Hawkins, also of Camden. Proctor mortuary will be in charge of arrangements. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. T. L. Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Means Cemetery near Hampton. Pallbearers will be uncles of Mrs. Baker. (Camden News - September 16, 1948)
