September 27, 1946 - May 21, 2021
Lucille Scott was born September 27, 1946 and was called home May 21, 2021. She was born in Arcadia, LA to the late Will Russell and Grace Ellen Sanders. Lucille accepted Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church on Cordell at an early age, and she was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church until she was called home. She was united in marriage to Clinton Scott Sr., and they were together for almost 60 years. Through this union, they had three children. Lucille worked at Oak Ridge Nursing Home for many years and was a caregiver for many clients, family and friends until she retired.
After retirement, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, spending time with family, spoiling her great-grandchildren, whooping tail in pitty-pat and fishing. You could often catch her and her husband fishing in Calion Lake, Maddox Park or anywhere the fish were biting! She had a great love for her friends and family and would help anyone she could with no expectations of receiving anything in return. Lucille was quiet person but had a smile and laugh that could light up any room.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Clinton Scott Jr., four sisters Mary Jackson, Parthenia Faison, Myrtis Watkins and Martha Waller, and one brother L.C. Cook.
Her memories will be cherished by her loving husband and soulmate of almost 60 years Clinton Scott Sr., daughters Rose (Charles) Douglas, Lisa Jackson, sisters Viola Williams, Fabie Coleman, Sherry (Robert) Harris, brother Curtis Watkins, grandchildren Lucas Parker-Scott, Michael Parker-Scott, Reginald (Arlene) Jackson Jr., Patience Jackson, Chiquita Jackson and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
