*When Leonard Ralph Burson was born on February 6, 1879, in Mattoon, Illinois, his father, David, was 39 and his mother, Rhoda, was 24. He married Lucy Jane Bell on December 25, 1904, in Conway, Arkansas. They had eight children in 23 years. He died on April 4, 1946, in Garner, Arkansas, at the age of 67, and was buried there.
