*When John Jackson Andrew Hughes and his twin sister Martha Jane were born on March 17, 1896, in Letona, Arkansas, their father, Ulysess, was 25, and their mother, Minnie, was 23. He married Priscilla "Pearlie" Ellen Williams on August 26, 1918. They had two children during their marriage. He died on February 8, 1960, in his hometown at the age of 63, and was buried there.
