James Ralph Garrett, 77, of Midwest City, Okla., died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000.

He was born at Harmony, a son of the late Joe and Anna Garrett, graduate of Clarksville High School, served in the U. S. Army during World War II, was a salesman and member of Nicoma Park United Methodist Church where he served as a Sunday school superintendent and an adult Sunday school teacher.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Fern Rutherford Garrett; four daughters and sons-in-law, Edythe Kathleen and Roy Golightly of Norfork, Peggy Sue and Mike Selfridge of Harrah, Okla.; Lesa Diane and Tom Vasquez of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Terri Beth and Dennis Terrill of Midwest City, Okla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Glenn and Linda Garrett of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Robert Dan and Leah Garrett of Choctaw, Okla.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Garrett of Phoenix, Ariz., and Hall and Jean Garrett of Clarksville; one sister and brother-in-law, Ann and John Williamson of Clarksville; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 2, at Nicoma Park United Methodist Church. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, at Harmony Cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Reola "Fern" Garrett, 91, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away on May 7, 2020.
She was born October 23, 1928, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to the late Ruel and Maude (McDowell) Rutherford.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was retired from Sears and was a member of the Nicoma Park United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James "Ralph" Garrett; one daughter, Kathy Golightly; four brothers and two sisters.

Fern is survived by five children, Glenn Garrett and wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City, Peggy Garrett of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Dan Garrett of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Lesa Vasquez and husband, Tom, of Oklahoma City, and Terri Simmons and husband, Terry, of Crosses, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, Richard, Holly, James, Jennifer, Nolan, Kim, Krista, Andy, Bryan, Joey, Chris, Thomas, Matt, AnnaJo Fern, Nate and Brooke; and a whole host of great grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2020, at Harmony Cemetery.
