When Marcus Harvey Holt was born on April 26, 1891, in Ash Flat, Arkansas, his father, Enock, was 31 and his mother, Sarah, was 31. He married Lillie Mae Gibbs on January 16, 1921, in Beebe, Arkansas. They had six children in 14 years. He died having lived for more than 100 years. He died on December 3, 1994, in Beebe, Arkansas, at the age of 103, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
