Betty Louise Orr Bass, 79 of Patterson, AR; passed away October 2, 2021, at the Unity Health – White County Medical Center.

Born March 11, 1942, in Walnut Ridge; daughter of the late, William “Bill” and Lucy Whitwell Orr. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith.

Betty loved the Lord, above all else. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Whether it was just reminiscing about old times, playing a game of dominoes, or rummy. (Which she always won, by the way.) Her family was always her top priority.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerome Bass; one brother, Roy Orr; four sisters, Billie Truxler Smith, Barbara Murphy, Hallie Boyce, and Elouise Farley; and a grandson, Stephen Nelson.

Survivors include three daughters, Melinda Bass (Kathy Sellers) of Jonesboro, Vickie Mayes of Arkansas and Jackie Meredith (Tim) of McCrory; three sons, Bill Bass of Augusta, Joe Bass (Kathryn) of Black Rock and Scott Bass (Pam) of Jonesboro; thirteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one brother, John Orr (Jeri) of Mountain Home; three sisters, Ellen Smith of Sedgwick, Doris Dent (Lee) and Joy Adams (Doyle) all of Jonesboro; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11 A.M. in the Bryan Chapel with her nephew Dennis Truxler officiating. Pallbearers will be Tristan Meredith, Brandon and Cody Bass, Josh Massey, Josh Gambill and Daryol Edwards. Interment will follow in the Old Military Cemetery in Sedgwick.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 P.M. till 7 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel.
