Lizzie was a matter of fact lady with a heart of gold. She took care of me when I was a toddler, while my mother worked. Even though I was very young, I remember her calling me her "Little Pilfer Box", because I wouldn't stay out of her dresser drawers, I was always pilfering. I remember her holding me and rocking me to sleep. I remember that she smelled so good, like fresh linen.

Lizzie was my Great Grandmother.
