Carolyn Williams Johnston, 75, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born November 17, 1939, in Camden, Ouachita County, Arkansas; she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Marie Proffitt Williams. She was reared and received her education in Camden, graduating from Harmony Grove High School. She also attended Foster’s Business School in Camden. She married O.B. Johnston and they moved to Pine Bluff in 1958, where she resided the remainder of her life. Mrs. Johnston retired from Trinity Village Retirement Home as bookkeeper. She had also worked for Casey Jones Construction Company. She loved to play the piano, travel, work with her flowers, watch television and keep in touch with her many friends. Also, she loved spending time with her grandson, Dylan.Mrs. Johnston was an active member of Hawley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Wesley Williams; her mother and step-father, Marie Williams Porter and Jewel Porter; and two sons, James Morris “Jim” Johnston, and Marcus Britton “Marc” Johnston. Mrs. Johnston is survived by her loving husband, O.B. Johnston, of Pine Bluff; her grandson, Marcus Dylan Johnston; and brother, James E. “Jody” Williams; along with a host of friends and extended family. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at First Assembly of God Church, Hampton, Arkansas with Reverend Rickey Smith officiating by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery at Hampton, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from noon until service time on Tuesday. Her body will lie in state Monday evening at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hawley United Methodist Church, P.O.
