May 13, 1940 - March 2, 2021
Iris Marie Summit, 80 of Walnut Ridge, died March 2, 2021 in the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge.
Born May 13, 1940 in Portia; daughter of the late Clyde and Ada Marie Doyle Phillips. Iris worked nineteen years as a supervisor at the SKIL factory in Walnut Ridge. She also worked as a proud L.P.N.; enjoyed being in the nursing field and taking care of folks.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Kathy Hill and a brother, Richard Phillips.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy Taylor of Walnut Ridge; three sons, David W. Summit of Walnut Ridge, Gary D and Charles H. Summit II both of Tampa, FL; five grandchildren, Christy Henault, Brad Taylor, Brandon, Britni and Ryan Summit; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Holder of Walnut Ridge and Carol Clark of Henderson; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside service will be Monday, March 8, 2021 at 2 P.M. in the Lawrence Memorial Park with Bro. Glen Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be her family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday from 12 P.M. till 1:30 P.M. in the Bryan Funeral Home.
Wearing Mask and Social Distancing would be appreciated.
