Frank Vlasic, 89, of Jefferson City passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at his residence. He was born on April 1, 1928 in Yugoslavia, the son of the late Matija and Angela (Kozar) Vlasic. He was first married to Inge Lehanka who preceded him in death. Frank was later married to Elizabeth "Betty" Raupp who also preceded him in death.

Frank worked at Western Electric and AT&T as a Communications Supervisor until his retirement. He was an active member of St. Peters The Fisherman Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus Council 7353 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. During his life he was active in his community. He enjoyed gardening, bowling, fixing up houses, traveling and spending time with his family and friends as well as his pets, Jack and Sammy.

He is survived by three daughters: Erika Vlasic of Omaha, Nebraska, Veronica Trowbridge of Jefferson City, Debbie (Justin) Goforth of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother, Vince (Polly) Vlasic of Thousand Oaks, California; three sisters: Theresa Marcic of Palatine, Illinois, Mary Kranjec of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Angie (Victor) Balaker of Carlsbad, California; three grandchildren: James Trowbridge, Adam Trowbridge, Madeline Goforth, four great grandchildren: Isabelle, Mila, Alexia, Adalynn and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Vlasic and a nephew, Michael Vlasic.

Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 30, 2017, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph with Fr. Josh Duncan officiating.

Visitation will also be held on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 600 Hospital Drive, Mountain Home, Arkansas 72654. Committal services will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Peters Catholic Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas or the American Cancer Society.

A Funeral Service for Betty Lou Vlasic of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Monday, October 13, 2014, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Reverend Father Stan Swiderski as Celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday, October 12, 2014, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with a Vigil Service at 4:00 pm.

Betty passed away October 9, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. She was born April 10, 1934, in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard and Laura Nickol Raupp. She married Frank Vlasic on July 19, 1980 at West Chicago, Illinois and was a homemaker. Betty moved to Mountain Home 25 years ago from West Chicago and was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. She enjoyed being with her family, her church and all the church activities, traveling, playing cards and her dog, Jack.

Betty is survived by her husband, Frank Vlasic of Mountain Home, AR; three daughters, Debbie (Justin) Goforth of Katy, TX, Erika Vlasic of Omaha, NE and Veronica Trowbridge of Jefferson City, MO; two grandchildren, James (Sarah) Trowbridge and Adam Trowbridge; four great-grandchildren, Isabelle Russell, Mila Trowbridge, Alexia Gust and Adalynn Trowbridge; brother, Robert (Barbara Ann) Raupp of Harvard, IL and sister, Maryann (Frank) Eder of Rockford, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Leroy, Ralph and Don Raupp.

Burial will be in the Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with James Trowbridge, Adam Trowbridge, Justin Goforth, Jim Schulte, Robert Goforth and Jim Peterson as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Eder, Vince Vlasic, Stanley Vlasic, Robert Raupp, Lou Altobelli, Len DiGati and Suad Durakovich.

Memorials may be made to Knights of Columbus, 249 Dyer Street, Mountain Home, AR 72653.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
