A Funeral Service for Lloyd Bartels of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Friday, December 20, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Reverend David Kapler officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Kirby and Family Funeral Home.

Lloyd passed away December 14, 2013, in North Richland Hills, Texas, at the age of 81. He was born July 13, 1932, in Tripp, South Dakota, the son of Emmett and Dorothy Ahntholz Bartels. He married Donna Nowack on June 12, 1955, at Culver City, California. Together, Lloyd and Dorothy owned and operated the Oakland Marina at Oakland, Arkansas for 20 years before moving to Mountain Home. Lloyd was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and The Air Force Association. He enjoyed his family, fishing and faithful service as a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Lloyd is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Jim) Abbatiello of Kerrville, TX; two sons, Bryan (Angie) Bartels of Papillion, NE and Brad (Lisa) Bartels of Keller, TX; six grandchildren, Jimmy Abbatiello, Joy Bartels, Jon Bartels, Joel Bartels, Cassidy Bartels, Garrett Bartels, a sister, Sharon Richards of Tustin, CA; two nieces, Christa (Rich) Harley and Rachel (Jerry) Bolin and two nephews, Ron and Glen Nowack.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a sister, Marilynn Bartels.

Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.

A Funeral Service for Donna Marie Bartels, 77, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be at noon Sunday, October 30, 2011, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Reverend David Kapler officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Saturday, October 29, 2011, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Donna passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Baxter Regional Medical Center. She was born February 7, 1934, in Monticello, Minnesota, the daughter of Clinton and Viola Rohlfsen Nowack. She married Lloyd Bartels on June 12, 1955, at Culver City, California and was a homemaker. Donna lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1983 moving from Woodland Hills, California. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a church organist for 26 years. Known as the "Dock Lady", she and her husband owned and operated the Oakland Marina for 20 years before moving to Mountain Home. She greatly enjoyed playing cards with the card group at the Community Center.

Donna is survived by her husband, Lloyd Bartels of Mountain Home, AR: 1 daughter, Brenda (James) Abbatiello of Kerrville, TX; 2 sons, (Col USAF ret.) Bryan (Angela) Bartels of Papillion, NE and (LtC USAF ret.)Bradley (Lisa) Bartels of Keller, TX; 6 grandchildren, Jimmy Abbatiello and Joy, Jonathan, Joel, Cassidy and Garrett Bartels and 1 brother, Duane (Sueko) Nowack of Romona, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery with Bryan and Bradley Bartels, Jim and Jimmy Abbatiello, Jonanthan, Joel and Garrett Bartels as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
