Mrs.Mary Angelia Hardesty Odom, 93, of Blytheville, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2005, at her home. Born Dec. 23, 1911, in Armorel, the daughter of Thomas Lafayette and Mary Neal Avis Hardesty, she was a lifelong area resident. She was the former owner Mrs. Odom's Upholstery Shop and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Sewing was her hobby, according to family members, and she loved spending time with her family and extended family

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Edgar Odom, and a daughter, Bernice wallace.

Mrs. Odom leaves one son, C.H. Odom of Delta, LA. Three daughters, Jane Ruth Askin of Hawesville, KY., Fay Banks of Galax, VA., and Louise Valdez of Blytheville and Twenty-three grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Pallo officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cobb Funeral Home in Blytheville. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m.
