Thomas Bulus “Tommy” Justiss, 87, of El Dorado, passed away, Sunday, January 8, 2017, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. He was born June 26, 1929, to David Mark and Madeline Griffith Justiss in El Dorado, AR.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. Tommy worked for American Oil, and retired from International Paper in Camden. He was a former member of the IBEW, and was also a member of the First Christian Church, where he was a former deacon and board trustee.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Billie Mae Blackard Justiss; son, Michal Justiss; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Justiss; brother, David Justiss, Jr.; and sister, Bonnie Sue Ghetti.

Survivors are his daughter, Sharon Speer and her husband, Gary of El Dorado; five grandchildren, Allison Posey, Kelley Caldwell, Peter Justiss, Lee Speer, and Gretchen Rice; along with nine great grandchildren, Hannah Geurin, Jake Atkinson, Austin Posey, Wynter Speer, Whitney Perry, Natalee Speer, Haley Justiss, Aiden Justiss , and Amelia Justiss; and daughter-in-law, Sherry Justiss.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Young’s

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Young’s Chapel with Bro. Bob Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, PO Box 267, El Dorado, AR 71731.
