GRAVETTE — Richard Dale Parnham, 83, of Gravette, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Mercy Medical
Center in Rogers, Ark. He was born on July 25, 1927, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Arthur G. Parnham and Minnie Muller Parnharn.
He married Charlene G. Coates on Feb. 5, 1945, in Troy, Kan. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He moved to Gravette, Ark., from St. Joseph, Mo., in 1961. He worked as a poultry inspector for the USDA until his retirement. He was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He loved to travel and work on automobiles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arthur L. Parnham.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene G. Parnham of Gravette, Ark.; one daughter, Sandra Kelley and husband Bob of Gravette, Ark.; one sister, Mary DeMitchell of Gravette, Ark.; two grandchildren, Michael Kelley and Kathleen Baker and husband, Kent; and two great-granddaughters, Kentley and Kelsey Baker.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 10, 2011, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72715. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at the First Christian Church in Gravette, Ark. Pastor Terry Longan will officiate. Burial will be in the Georgia Flats Cemetery, Gravette, Ark.
In lieu of flowers. memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 127, Gravette, AR 72736.

GRAVETTE — Charlene GL Coates Parnham, 88, of Gravette, Ark., died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Highlands Health and Rehab in Bella Vista. She was born on Sept. 9, 1924, in College Springs, Iowa, the fourth daughter of Charles and Della Coates.
She graduated in 1942 from Elmo High School in Elmo, Mo. She attended business college in St. Joseph, Mo. She married Richard Parnham on Feb. 5, 1945. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Gravette and the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and her husband.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Kelley and husband, Robert Kelley; two grandchildren, Michael Kelley of Orlando, Fla., and Kathleen (Kent) Baker of Bentonville; and two great-granddaughters, Kentley and Kelsey.
Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at the First Christian Church in Gravette. Burial will be at the Georgia Flats Cemetery in Gravette.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund.
