When Mary Eliza Prothro was born on February 21, 1919, in Romance, Arkansas, her father, William, was 40, and her mother, Rhoda, was 40. She had three brothers and five sisters. She died as a child on May 13, 1922, in her hometown, and was buried in Arkansas.
