Olva Edward Preston Adams, 75, of Corning died at his home Aug.27,1964. He was born July 25,1889 at Warm Springs, a son of the late Thomas and Lucie Pratt Adams. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Corning for the past 32 years.
He is survived by his wife Gertie Carter Adams of the home; 2 sons Carl Adams of E. St. Louis and Dell Adams of Corning; 2 daughters Fredia Kirk of Biggers and Gwendolyn Gibson of Corning; 4 brothers George Adams of Poplar Bluff, Jesse Adams of Middlebrook , Norace Adams of Corning and Horace Adams of Grand Junction, Colorado; 3 sisters Belle Whittenburg and Neta Herren of Pocahontas and Trellos Crawley of Reyno; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Adams home on Aug.29 with Bro. H.W. Johnston officiating.
Burial was in in the Corning Cemetery under the direction of Russell- Ermert Funeral Home.
