Patsy Ruth Norman Pryor, 76, of Searcy, died Thursday, February 16, 2015. She was born December 12, 1938 in Searcy, the daughter of Henry Otis and Ruth Emily Dutcher Norman.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Bill Pryor; a daughter, Amy Roussel and her husband Bill of Searcy; two sons, Bruce Pryor and wife Dana of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dr. Matt Pryor and wife Amy of Manila, Arkansas; grandchildren Ethan Pryor, Vivian and Emily Pryor and Anna Roussel. Patsy taught elementary school for 42 years and was inducted into the Searcy Education Foundation Hall of Honor.
Patsy was a devoted wife, loving mother, world traveler, dedicated educator, missionary, servant of the Lord, musician and artist. She was a committed Christian and Passionate servant of the Lord. She spent her life teaching children, her own and thousands of others.
Visitation will be Saturday at Powell Funeral Home of Searcy from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Searcy. Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Searcy Building Fund.
