Parvin O. McDermott, 68, a retired employee of Swift & Co., died early today in Chickasawba Hospital. Born in Dresden, Tenn., he moved to Blytheville in 1919 and was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Pauline McDermott Campbell and is survived by his widow, Mrs. Callie Suggs McDermott of Blytheville; one daughter, Miss Lillie Mae McDermott of Blytheville; one son, James D. McDermott of North Stonington, Conn.; three brothers, Richard McDermott of Blytheville; Guy McDermott of Corning, Ark., and Curtis Mayo McDermott of Little Rock; three sisters, Mrs. Corintha Hill and Mrs. Ruby Hardesty, both of Blytheville and Mrs. Lucille Betts of Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. David Webb will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
