*Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie Robertson Poff, 87, of Demopolis, AL, died Friday, February 1, 2013, at Marengo Nursing Home in Linden, AL.

Marjorie was a life long resident of Blytheville, AR. until March of 2012, when she relocated to Southern Oaks Assisted Living in Demopolis, AL. to be closer to family.

She was born in Blytheville, AR., on July 15, 1925. She graduated from Blytheville High School.

Marjorie worked for Dr. William Lynn for many years as secretary/receptionist before her retirement. Previous to her employment with Dr. Lynn, she worked for The Farmer's Bank and Ark-Mo Power Company.

She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Blytheville for many years. She was involved in many aspects of church service, but she particularly enjoyed her involvement in the Choir and United Methodist Women. Her church was very important to her and all the many wonderful friends she made over the years.

She was a loyal wife, a wonderful, loving mother and a dedicated Christian. She was a lady very much like the lady in Proverbs 31. To quote the ending, "Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the works of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates." And as it also states in v. 28~ "We, her children, rise up and call her blessed."

Finally she is reunited with our father, Kenneth Lawrence Poff, who she has missed since the day he left, almost. 3 yrs. ago February 15, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John William "Jack" Robertson (Tassie Mai): several sisters and brothers and a beloved grandson, William Michael Poff.

Marjorie leaves two sons, Jack Lawrence Poff (Gail) of West Memphis; and Kenneth Michael Poff (Kim) of Smackover; a daughter, Rosemary Poff Wynne (Rob) of Linden, AL: 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 more due this summer; brothers, Bob Robertson of Reno, Nevada, Joe T. Robertson of Corinth, Mississippi and Carl Robertson of Texas; a sister, Tommie Robertson Mohin of Memphis, TN, as well as many other family and friends.

Funeral services were held in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Blytheville, AR. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
