Johnnie Lee Cox, age 90, of Lake Village died Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center. Johnnie was born November 7, 1927 in Lamar, AR. She is the daughter of the late John M and Amy (Jetton) Haynes. She was the wife of James R Cox. She loved teaching, she not only taught school for 43 years but was also a Sunday School teacher and piano teacher. She was a charter member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher Organization of Lake Village and a member of the Delta Shakespeare Study Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Cox, brother, Jack Haynes, and sister, Juanita Rinehart.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Ann Cox of Lake Village, AR and Judy Cox Cutchen and husband David of Birmingham, AL. She has one granddaughter, Abigail Brock and husband Bradley and expecting a great-grandson in October.

Visitation will be Friday June 1, 2018 from 4-6 in the Bishop-King Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial service will be Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11am at Lakeside Methodist Church in Lake Village. Arrangements are by Bishop-King Funeral Home of Lake Village, Arkansas.

In Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to; John 3:16 Ministries, 75 Holmes Rd. Charlotte, Arkansas 72522.
