Frances Pfeiffer Palmer, age 99, of Mountain Home died November 9, 2013. She was born Sept. 14, 1914 in Gordon, Neb. to Otto and Velma Gates Pfeiffer. Frances received a B.A. from John Fletcher College in University Park, Iowa. In 1962, she moved to Mtn. Home. She loved the beauty of the Ozarks and working outside clearing her land, but felt that her proudest accomplishments were her 3 daughters.
Frances is survived by her 3 daughters, Jennifer Baker and Penny Ellis of Mountain Home; Michel Larson of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren Tracy Tilley (Shane), and Kristin Miller of Mountain Home; Kelly Baker-Hefley (Chris) of Franklin, TN; Randi Horsley, Tammi Rosales (Sisto) and Tym Larson (Teri) of Chandler, AZ; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Charles Pfeiffer; 2 sisters, Florence Pfeiffer and Elaine Pfeiffer Hess; and husbands Paul Ellis, Melvin Olivier, and Leland Palmer.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Ozarks, Baxter County Historical Society, Twin Lakes Literacy Council, or D.W. Reynolds Library. Services are private.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
