Mrs. Leona Lynn Rogers, 89, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Heritage Nursing Center in Blytheville. Born in Dyer County, Tenn., to Roy and Lillie Stanfield Lynn, she was a homemaker and a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She was a past Sunday School teacher, and loved flowers, quilting, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. Mrs. Rogers was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved being around her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in her death by her husband of 56 years, Reber Eudell Rogers; her step-mother, Reathie Gertrude Bachuss Lynn; her brothers, Lt. Col. Ray Culp and John Culp; and her sister, Dixie Smotherman.

She leaves her children, Rudy and Sandi Rogers of Conway, Tony and Susan Rogers of Blytheville and Margaret and William "Bubba" George of Quitman, Texas;

Five grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Snow of Midlothian, Texas, Bradley and Misty George of Watauga, Texas, Mylissa and Michael Moix of Conway, Tara "Nikki" Rogers of Bartlett, Tenn., and Holly and Matt Gaines of Conway;

Five great-grandchildren, Marlie Moix, Mason Moix, Lauren Snow, Ryan Snow, and Weston Gaines;

A sister, Virginia Fay Calabria of Mountain Home; and

A host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Elmwood Cemetery with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Friday at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
