WOODS, Mollie E. - Died, April 23, 1913 on Pea Ridge, Ark. at the home of her son, Leroy Woods, Mollie E. Woods, aged forty-seven years and twenty-one days. Deceased was born three miles east of Bentonville, Ark. April 2, 1866. her whole life was spent in this and adjoining communities. When about seventeen years of age she professed faith in Christ as her personal savior and united with the Woods C.P. Church. In 1884 she was married to J.H. Woods, deceased. To this union were born eight children, five sons and three daughters. Physically frail in body, the latter years of her life were years of affliction and suffering, still with unshaken confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ, supported by His grace and comforted by the Holy Spirit, she was victorious in the trials, afflictions, bereavements and discomfiture's of life. A dependent widow with a family of helpless children, with womanly courage and patience, she pursued the duties of life and religion in a way worthy of emulation. She lived to see them all professed Christians and honored and respected members of society. The funeral services held at the Woods Presbyterians church was attended by many of her old neighbors and many of the kindred. The remains were buried in the Wood's family burying ground. She is survived by four sons and three daughters, one son having died in infancy. May the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, comfort these sorrowing hearts in their bereavement. P. Carnahan.

(from Pea Ridge) Died, Wednesday, April 23, at the home of her son, Roy Woods, Mrs. Woods, mother of Roy and Robert Woods. Death was the result of consumption. Interment was made in the Woods cemetery near Bentonville Thursday.
