Obituary:
Carolyn Jane Gillis Bryant age, 64 of Johnsville, AR died Wednesday, September 14th, at her home. She was born December 11th, 1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Henry Boyd Gillis and Lois Lorene Pasley Gillis. She was employed at Jack Winters and Ladonna's Sportswear in Warren and retired as a hotel manager in El Dorado, AR. She attended Hermitage High School and was a Christian. She was also proceeded in death by a husband Odis Thurman Hamaker and a son Jimmy Don Coulter, JR. She is survived by 2 sons, Gary Hamaker and Thurman Hamaker and spouse Betty, all of Hermitage, AR. A daughter Ruth Douglas and spouse Don, Johnsville, AR. 3 brothers Eddie Gillis and spouse Paula, Denton, TX; Johnny Gillis, Denton, TX and Curtis Gillis, Johnsville, AR. A sister Joyce Gillis, California. 6 grandchildren Steven and Renee Baker, Brittany Merritt,Colvin and Brandon, Sarah and Jay Smith, Wally and Kasey Douglas, Shannon Hamaker and Zane Hamaker. 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services was 2:00 PM Sunday, September 18th at Palestine Methodist Church in Johnsville, AR with Rev. Charles Cauley officiating. Pallbearers were Frankie Parker, Brandon Colvin, Shannon Hamaker, Steven Baker, Walley Douglass, Carl Baker and Don Douglass. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home.
