Sarah Lou Godfrey, age 66, of Johnsville, AR. died Friday, September 6, at home. Born July 20, 1947 in Warren, AR. a daughter of the late Edward Nathan Lowry and Ouita Floy Ferrell Lowry she was a homemaker and member Eagle Lake Crossroads Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death was a daughter Michelle Godfrey Bell, a sister Dorothy Armstrong. Survivors are 1 son DeWayne Godfrey and spouse Shari, Tillar, AR. 1 sister Glenda Sue Griffin, Johnsville, AR. 2 grandchildren Morgan Godfrey, Little Rock, AR. and Hunter Godfrey, Tillar, AR. Funeral services were 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, at Palestine Methodist Church in Johnsville, AR. with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Tim Christmas was pianist and soloist was Gary Mizell. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Eddie Kelly, Cole Richard, Terry Don Richard, Brady Armstrong, Mike Strayhorn, Don Douglass, Tommy Ferrell and Gregg Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Nolan, Gifford Godfrey, Hunter Godfrey, Evan Kelly, Cody McMurry, Tim Christmas, Gary Mizell and Robert Smallwood.
