Leota Thompson Berg, age 101, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died December 18, 2010 in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Berg was born December 09, 1909 in Texarkana, Arkansas. She was retired from the Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois, where she served as a Medical record Technician. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she served as Church Treasurer, Church Clerk and Lay Activities Leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Clarence Coburn who died in 1961, her late husband Curt H. Berg, who died May 14, 1991, and her sister Marie Prindle who died in September of 2007.
She is survived by two step-daughters, Greta Parker of Jalisco, Mexico; Christina Stovall of Rome, Italy; one stepson, Curt Berg, Jr. of North Augusta, South Carolina, one niece; Helen Perea of Wake Village, Texas; four nephews: James Thompson of Arlington, Texas; Edgar Thompson of Yantis, Texas; Howard Thompson and Westly Thompson of Texas.
Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be at a later date.
