Cecil M. Wilson, 85 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas.
He was born on July 24, 1924 in Junction City, Arkansas to the late Claude Edward and Ethel Dollie (Wisinger) Wilson. He was a veteran in the United States Army serving during World War II and a retired truck driver for Film Transit Company, and was a school bus driver for Magnolia Public Schools for a number of years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Norma Raye (Courtney) Wilson, a daughter, Jackie Raye Wilson Higginbotham, two brothers, Edward and Jack Wilson, and one sister Floy Wilson Wood.
Cecil is survived by his two daughters, Paula Wilson Vanderpool of Maumelle, Arkansas, Micki Wilson Mitchell and her husband Randy of Magnolia, Arkansas; one brother, Ferrell Wilson and his wife Jeannette of Junction City, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Andy Barker and wife Jennette of St. Louis, Missouri, Wendy Barker Ramsey and her husband Hall of Maumelle, Arkansas, Courtney Mitchell Strunk and her husband Kevin of Texarkana, Arkansas, Skylar and Madelyn Mitchell both of Magnolia; and seven great grandchildren, Caitlin, Andrew, Avery, Jayden, Bella, Hayden, and Wilson.
Family visitation will be Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia with interment to follow at 2:00 pm at Magnolia City Cemetery with Pastor Charles Jacobs officiating. Memorials may be made to the John R. Williamson Hospice House, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, Arkansas 71730
