John R. Neal, aged 64, of Red Hill, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Chester Lowe, in Chidester, Tuesday afternoon at 5:05 p.m. He had been a member of the Missouri Church, near Chidester, for the past 45 years. He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. S. C. Shaw of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Fred Wood, Mrs. Lizzie Hamilton, and Mrs. Chester Lowe, all of Chidester; one son, C. S. Neal of Camden; two sisters, Mrs. Maloney Vernon of Camden, and Mrs. Berthan Bengham of Terrell, Texas. Funeral services were held today at 4 p.m. at the Missouri Church with burial in Missouri Cemetery, with the Rev. H. R. Nabors officiating. Proctor's in charge. (Camden News - June 30, 1948)
